Northwell/Nuvance Health is seeking a full time BE/BC fellowship-trained Stroke Neurologist to join our expanding Neuroscience Program and clinical team at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in historic and diverse Poughkeepsie, NY (just 75 minutes north of New York City). Collaborate with a large multidisciplinary neuroscience team comprised of Neurosurgeons, Neurointerventionalists, Neurohospitalists, Neurologists, and a team of mid-level professionals. The program offers clinical trials, research opportunities and a robust residency program supporting any physician looking to add those elements to their clinical practice.
Candidate Qualifications:
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications and experience:
- M.D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
- Completion of an accredited neurology residency and stroke fellowship
- Board Certified
- Capable in both general & stroke neurology
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York

Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women’s health. Salary Range:
$300,000 - $400,000 annually commensurate with experience
